∎ You will provide technical advice and support?to a range of program design, implementation issues, budget management, reporting and program quality, in the area of Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture and Livelihood,?in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor guidelines, and industry best practices?to Country Program (CP) teams to advance the delivery of high-quality programming to the poor and vulnerable. Your strategic guidance, knowledge, and support will contribute to determining how effective, adaptive and innovative CRS` Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture and Livelihood programming is across the globe.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Program Quality:
∎ Support the development and contribute to the implementation of agency-wide strategies, standards, tools and best practices in Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture and Livelihood, that effectively engage partners, donors, and governments.
∎ Help ensure a cross-sectoral approach integrating gender, protection mainstreaming, and disaster risk reduction/Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience.
∎ Oversee and directly support the implementation of the CRS-funded food security/livelihood and/or resilience projects in Bangladesh, by ensuring high quality, timely technical progress and financial reporting through the close collaboration with the local partner staffs directly responsible for project implementation;
∎ Contribute to, and in some cases lead, the development of the technical design for proposals. Support the process of preparation, design, submission and approval of project concepts and full-fledged proposals. As needed, act as a technical writer on proposal development teams. Advise project teams on integrating donor strategies, priorities and technical requirements into CRS' approach.
∎ Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL):
∎ Provide technical solutions to CP teams, for strategic planning and how to best apply standards, best practices, partnership principles, tools and M&E, helping to ensure high-quality implementation.
∎ Accompany partners in the joint-planning, reviewing and completion of project commitments, and the timely and quality implementation.
∎ Collect and analyze program data, capture and share lessons learned and best practices for specific projects to facilitate improvements in decision-making and contribute to the Nutrition Sensitive Agricultural and Livelihood learning agenda.
∎ Support capacity strengthening initiatives in Nutrition Sensitive Agricultural and Livelihood programming for staff and partner through helping develop learning and training strategies and agendas/curriculums, conducting trainings and workshops, and coaching.
∎ Financial Management:
∎ Ensures timely reporting and monitoring of the program budgets.
∎ Support partners to develop project budgets aligned with the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP).
∎ Provide guidance for effective budget management and accountability, by supporting and overseeing periodic budget reviews.
∎ Support partners to prepare detailed budget and notes when needed.
∎ Support partners to provide quarterly and annual cash forecast aligned with DIP.
∎ Seek financial managementadvice and facilitate support from the respective CRS Country Team as appropriate to ensure timely program implementation and budget management.
∎ Partnership and Representation:
∎ Develops a strong understanding and knowledge on CRS' partnership principles and behaviors within the CRS and Partner's team.
∎ Contribute to maintaining relationships with donors, peer organizations, research and other institutions, participate in forums in the area of Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture and Livelihood and Value chain, to collect and share best practices and promote CRS' work.
∎ Support and coach partner staffs assigned to CRS-funded programs, under the guidance of the Country Manager;
∎ Represent CRS and partner/s and promote and facilitate agency representation in national and regional level collaboration NGO meetings and in other external events;
∎ Under the guidance of the Country Manager, maintain relationships with key local partner, CRS HQ and regional colleagues and potential donor representatives;
∎ Emergency Response
∎ If CRS supports any disaster response, consultant may be called upon to support emergency operations. Willingness and flexibility to perform tasks other than described in this Scope of Work and work longer hours than normal as necessary to complete critical tasks is required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience with progressive responsibilities, ideally with an international NGO, with minimum of three years relevant field-based experience in Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture, Gender, Livelihoods, Value Chain development, Disaster Risk Reduction/Climate Change adaptation
∎ Knowledge of technical principles and concepts in Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture/Livelihood areas. General knowledge of other related disciplines to ensure proper cross-sectoral approach.
∎ Experience in project design and proposal development. Experience in writing content for proposals.
∎ Knowledge of capacity strengthening best practices.
∎ Working experience in budget Management, Program monitoring and evaluation and analysis.
∎ Experience and skills in networking and relations with donors, peer organizations, and faith-based and civil society partners. Understanding of partnership principles.

∎ Travel Required: At least 50% travel will be needed to Cox's Bazar, Monpura, Barisal, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Chittagong Hill Tracts areas at a minimum, other areas may be added as needed. Travel in these areas can be physically demanding.
