Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the initial and ongoing mapping of the assigned nutrition site catchment area
∎ Support the Outreach Supervisor to inform and sensitize the local authorities, community leaders and members to ensure good understanding of the nutrition program as directed
∎ Provide daily supportive supervision of the Community Nutrition Volunteers including taking attendance, completing supervisor checklists, and providing feedback as needed.
∎ Conduct regular meetings with the Community Nutrition Volunteers
∎ Distribute incentives and work equipment to the Community Nutrition Volunteers and keep records
∎ Liaise with the nutrition site Team Leader to ensure follow up of absentees, defaulters and non-responders. Collect and provide timely feedback about the outcomes.
∎ Liaise with the registrar and Site Team Supervisor at each nutrition site to identify and confirm new beneficiaries that need to be registered. Assist with registration, including verification of beneficiary location within catchment area.
∎ Receive home visit requests from the nutrition site and facilitate timely follow-up. Ensure that filled home visit assessment forms are returned to the correct staff member promptly.
∎ Arrange and lead community meetings as directed by the Outreach Supervisor and Nutrition Coordinator
∎ Collect, compile and submit timely and accurate reports as required
∎ Prepare timely stock requests for all outreach activities
∎ Follow correct procedures regarding purchases and expenses related to the nutrition outreach activities
∎ Report any suspected or identified fraud cases to the Nutrition Coordinator
∎ Support surveys and assessments in the assigned nutrition site catchment area as directed
∎ Reinforce and model high quality standards for measurement and other technical tasks carried out by Community Nutrition Volunteers
∎ Maintain and submit accurate and complete beneficiary and volunteer feedback logs. Provide initial verbal responses to feedback as received
∎ Triage and immediately communicate feedback of a serious or sensitive nature when received
∎ Assist in the recruitment of Community Nutrition Volunteers
∎ Support initial and ongoing training to Community Nutrition Volunteers, following national and international guidelines
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and provide guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions
∎ Support the Outreach Supervisor by acting as a focal point for community leaders and members when directed. Report back to the Nutrition Coordinator
∎ Attend CiC and other field level meetings as requested by the Nutrition Coordinator
∎ Liaise with other partners providing relevant services and activities in the nutrition site catchment area for good coordination of outreach activities
∎ Refer to the Nutrition Coordinator before making any verbal or written commitment.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience working with communities.
∎ Previous working experience with a humanitarian organisation
∎ Experience in nutrition outreach activities
∎ Written and spoken Bangla
∎ Ability to communicate in Rohingya language (spoken Chittagong dialect)
∎ Ability to write basic English (names, numbers)Advanced written and spoken English.
