∎ The Nutrition and Health Deputy Head of Department will Provide technical support to nutrition related issues in mission, provide technical support to project staff, be involved in proposal and report writing, organize programme evaluations & assessments, survey medical and nutritional situation in Bangladesh and represent ACF Bangladesh in internal and external forum.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Mission 1: Provide technical supervision/advice to the programmes.
∎ Review the projects implementation methodology and field level data related to the programmes;
∎ Review donor, government and internal reports from field level and ensure they are submitted according to specified deadlines.
∎ Organize and undertake field visits while at the same time providing a detailed technical report of such activities.
∎ In collaborate with HoD, to ensure that standard ACF, Nutrition Sector and National protocols are followed and that programs meet internationally recognized benchmark standards.
∎ Provide training and on the job coaching to field staffs and community volunteers on CMAM approach, In- patient management of SAM and Nutrition in Emergencies to the field teams in collaboration with the Nutrition Expert and Program Managers.
∎ Assist in the integration with departments (Mental health, WASH, Food Security) and nutrition activities where possible.
∎ Prepare and undertake capacity building of partners on nutrition related issues
∎ Mission 2: Participate actively in project cycle related activities with focus on M&E, project proposal and reporting
∎ Participate in the drafting of new project proposals and responding to donor queries.
∎ Participate in the drafting of TORs and JDs as well as take part in interview/recruitment for staff and consultants hired to undertake CMAM and other nutrition program related assignments.
∎ Develop and assist to maintain an effective M&E system and database for CMAM programs and actively participate in the monitoring and evaluation of field activities and in the definition of programmatic directions.
∎ Participate in planning and execution of CMAM and other nutrition programs evaluations and needs assessments in order to gauge impact and to identify actual needs on the ground.
∎ Support Program Managers in budget management and follow up.
∎ Mission 3: Ensure adequate follow up of nutrition and health programmes.
∎ In liaison with Nutrition Expert and PMs, provide timely updates/review of the programmes with a detailed compilation every end of the month for sharing with other programs and coordination team.
∎ Participate in capitalization of the nutrition programme (lessons learned, etc.).
∎ Participate in staff appraisals and orientations.
∎ Propose intervention strategies both in the emergency and development setting.
∎ Mission 4: Support coordination efforts at country level (external):
∎ Develop and update stakeholder mapping periodically
∎ Prepare and facilitate capacity building of partners on nutrition related issues
∎ Participate in the advocacy for adoption of the nutrition and health related issues.
∎ Represent ACF in thematic fora on health and nutrition when required
∎ Deputies the head of department nutrition and health in her/his absence.
∎ Assist in the coordination with other partners/agencies intervening in the medical and nutritional field.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience:
∎ At least 5 years of professional experience including 2 years' experience in nutrition and child health programming;
∎ Highly developed management and leadership skills
∎ Strong experience in project cycle management, capacity building and technical supervision
∎ Experience in development and emergency of nutrition strategies/programmes
∎ Experience working in partnership with local implementing partners, government and other international/national partners.
∎ Has a good working knowledge of the context in the region
∎ Skill:

Salary:
∎ Gross monthly Salary BDT 131,000/-

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 02 basic salary per year.
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary.
∎ End of Contract Benefits: End of Contract Benefits: 30 days of salary per year of service (No eligibility pro-rated under 1 year)
∎ Medical coverage: 80% hospitalization coverage medical expenses (max limit BDT 120,000 per year).
