Responsibilities & Context:
Testing Execution: Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment to conduct inspections. Common testing methods include Ultrasonic (UT), Radiographic (RT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), and Visual Testing (VT).
Defect Evaluation: Interpret test results, read blueprints, and evaluate findings to determine whether parts, welds, or structures are acceptable or need repair.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all inspections adhere to strict local safety, quality, and government regulations.
Documentation: Carefully document all testing procedures, processes, and results, generating detailed reports for engineers and clients.
Collaboration: Interface directly with clients, welders, and project managers to report on testing progress and resolve any structural issues.
