Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Edit and write news content: Review, revise, and edit news stories, scripts, and packages for accuracy, clarity, and style, ensuring they adhere to journalistic standards and the company's editorial guidelines.
∎ Coordinate with reporters and journalists: Collaborate closely with reporters, journalists, and producers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality news content.
∎ Fact-checking and verification: Conduct thorough fact-checking and verification of news stories, ensuring the accuracy of information before publication or broadcasting.
∎ Local news coverage: Stay up-to-date with current events, news trends, and local issues in Bangladesh, and actively contribute to the selection and development of news stories.
∎ Ensure compliance: Ensure that all news content meets legal and regulatory requirements, including copyright and intellectual property guidelines.
∎ Collaborate with production teams: Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth transitions between news segments and provide necessary information for on-air presenters.
∎ Monitor news sources: Monitor various news sources, including wire services, social media platforms, and local news outlets, to identify breaking news stories and emerging trends.
∎ Assist in newsroom operations: Provide support during live broadcasts, breaking news situations, and other newsroom operations as required.
∎ Stay updated with technology: Keep abreast of the latest newsroom technologies and editing tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 24 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Language proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bengali.
∎ News knowledge: In-depth understanding of current events, local news, and issues within Bangladesh or outside.
∎ Editing skills: Strong editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail, grammar, and AP/Reuters style.
∎ Technological proficiency: Familiarity with newsroom software, video editing tools, and content management systems is preferred.
∎ Time management: Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
∎ Team player: Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
∎ Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as news events may require.
