∎ The MULTISECTORAL PROGRAMME MANAGER under department of Nutrition & Health will be responsible for internal and external coordination to ensure smooth implementation of Action Against Hunger Health and Nutrition Activities in Cox`s Bazar host communities and refugee settlements. The Health and Nutrition Coordinator will provide support to the nutrition programme managers in the development, implementation and management of the health and nutrition activities as well as monitoring and evaluation of the project. The Health and Nutrition Coordinator will support the Health and Nutrition Head of Department in development and implementation of the health and nutrition strategy in Cox`s Bazar District.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Mission 1: Internal and External Coordination:
∎ The Health and Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for:
∎ Represent ACF in external coordination mechanisms- District Coordination- Nutrition Sector- Health sector and any other relevant coordination mechanism (external)
∎ Represent Action Against Hunger and Health and Nutrition Strategy in Technical Working Groups under the Health and Nutrition Sector (external)
∎ Leading the Assessment Technical Working Group in Cox's Bazar District- under Nutrition Sector (external)
∎ Coordination with international and local partners, as well as local implementing partners (external)
∎ Implementation of weekly Health and Nutrition Managers meeting in Cox's Bazar District (Internal)
∎ Coordination with other Action Against Hunger sectors to ensure smooth implementation of activities including integrated activities (internal)
∎ Key activities & responsibilities to achieve this objective:
∎ Participate in the different external coordination mechanism
∎ Provide updates on Action Against Hunger health and nutrition activities in the different external coordination meetings
∎ Provide technical inputs according to ACF guidelines, positioning papers, and strategy in the external coordination mechanisms as well as technical working groups
∎ Lead the Assessment Technical Working Group; planning of assessments, methodologies, sharing and validating results as well as providing feedback to the Nutrition Sector on progress
∎ Liaison with local implementing partners working in Host Communities
∎ Liaison with international and local partners regarding joint health and nutrition activities
∎ Provide support to health & nutrition team on external partner (including donor visits) field visits - represent Action Against Hunger, development of briefing papers etc.
∎ Lead weekly Action Against Hunger health and nutrition meetings in Cox's Bazar
∎ Share minutes of meetings attended including summary of action points
∎ Ensure timely Nutrition Sector report submission; CMAM reports, SitRep and 4W
∎ Mission 2: Development, implementation and management of Health and Nutrition Interventions in Cox's Bazar.
∎ The Health and Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for:
∎ Provide inputs in development of health and nutrition strategy in Cox's Bazar
∎ Execute Action Against Hunger health and nutrition strategy
∎ Support to Health and Nutrition Managers to develop project proposals; narrative, LFA, targets, budget, HR and PPP
∎ Support Health and Nutrition Managers in monthly Activity Progress reports
∎ Support Health and Nutrition Managers in donor reporting
∎ Ensure quality of health and nutrition activities
∎ Ensure that health and nutrition interventions are implemented according to GoB guidelines, Action Against Hunger guidelines and procedures
∎ Key activities & responsibilities to achieve this objective:
∎ Coordinate with Field Coordinator and Health and Nutrition HoD regarding the content of the project proposal to be developed
∎ Organize & lead proposal development workshops with health & nutrition managers to develop project proposal- LFA, Targets- and agree on who is doing what and when
∎ Consolidate project proposal components received into project proposal format and share with Health and Nutrition HoD for validation
∎ Organize & lead project launch meetings with the health & nutrition managers- implementation plans, budget utilization, procurement launch, development of APRs, budget forecasting etc.
∎ Submit monthly Activity Progress Reports (quantitative and qualitative) to Field Coordinator and Health and Nutrition Head of Department
∎ Share retro-planning for donor proposals and donor reporting with Health and Nutrition Managers
∎ Consolidate the donor reports from the health and nutrition managers-review report and share with Health and Nutrition HoD for validation
∎ Follow up on expenditures in collaboration with health and nutrition managers- planned expenditure vs actual expenditure as well as providing feedback on the same to the relevant departments
∎ Provide technical support to health and nutrition managers to ensure quality of the health and nutrition activities
∎ Conduct field visits to provide support to the health and nutrition teams as well as to ensure the quality of the health and nutrition interventions
∎ Provide inputs to the health and nutrition strategy for Cox's Bazar based on context analysis of Cox's Bazar
∎ Ensure timely submission of field level data to UNICEF, WFP and UNHCR
∎ Ensure data- information flow within Cox's Bazar as well as to Dhaka coordination team
∎ Mission 3: Health and Nutrition Team management.
∎ The Health and Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for:
∎ Management of his/her team (leadership, coordination, monitoring, motivation etc)
∎ Determine HR needs for the implementation of health and nutrition activities
∎ Follow up on recruitment status and support health and nutrition managers in recruitment
∎ Identify capacity building needs of health and nutrition team and develop capacity building plan in collaboration with Health and Nutrition capacity building unit.
∎ Provide training to health and nutrition team in collaboration with Health and Nutrition capacity building unit
∎ Capacity build and handover to local health and nutrition coordinator
∎ Key activities & responsibilities to achieve this objective:
∎ Determine the HR needs for the implementation of the nutrition activities
∎ Taking part in the recruitment of staff in line with HR procedures and in consultation with Field Coordinator and Base Admin/HR
∎ Conduct staff appraisals of health and nutrition managers and support PMs in the implementation of staff appraisals & development of work/action plans
∎ Follow up on monthly-weekly PM action plans

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience including 2 years' experience in nutrition and child health and CMAM programming;
∎ Highly developed management and leadership skills
∎ Strong experience in project cycle management, capacity building and technical supervision
∎ Experience in development and emergency of nutrition strategies/programmes
∎ Experience working in partnership with local implementing partners, government and other international/national partners.
∎ Has a good working knowledge of the context in the Region
∎ Skill:

Salary:
∎ Gross monthly Salary BDT 173,886/-

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 02 basic salary per year.
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary.
∎ End of Contract Benefits: End of Contract Benefits: 30 days of salary per year of service (No eligibility pro-rated under 1 year)
