Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct monthly monitoring visits to shelters and safe homes to assess safety, security, survivor feedback, living conditions, staff feedback, program activity, documentation, and compliance with standards.
∎ Share detailed findings and actionable recommendations with the project team for follow-up.
∎ Support the implementation of monitoring frameworks and plans and track regular progress of all project activities based on outputs, and outcomes indicator
∎ Maintain and oversee the complaint and feedback mechanism in all project sites, ensuring confidentiality and responsiveness.
∎ Collect quarterly feedback from stakeholders (e.g., Police, BGB, government partners, service providers) to assess outcome-level changes.
∎ Facilitate quarterly feedback sessions with survivors in shelters and community to evaluate program effectiveness, positive changes in survivor well-being, behavioural change in staff and observe personal development and recommendations.
∎ Support data entry, extraction, and analysis in Salesforce to ensure quality and timely reporting.
∎ Conduct regular spot checks on Salesforce data to assess accuracy, completeness, and supporting documentation.
∎ Ensure regular updates and track project performance against RMP indicators in Salesforce; analyz and justify any variances in target achievements.
∎ Compile and finalize monthly narrative reports by coordinating with program teams and using data from Salesforce.
∎ Develop and use tools for pre- and post-event assessments, collate and analyz data, and include findings in event reports.
∎ Document detailed case stories for quarterly or annual reports, ensuring signed consent is obtained.
∎ Assist in developing and regularly updating MEL plans for designated projects.
∎ Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports including MEL-related sections, data visualizations, and analysis.
∎ Analyz qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., interviews, surveys, focus groups) to inform programmatic decision-making.
∎ Share key learning insights and recommendations with internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Provide technical support in developing assessment tools and improving MEL practices across teams.
∎ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce and coordinate with technical teams as needed.
∎ Conduct periodic Data Quality Assessments (DQAs) and ensure internal data audit readiness.
∎ Role Summary:
∎ The MEL Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning activities of donor-funded projects and safe homes in Bangladesh. The role requires close collaboration with program teams, government and community stakeholders, and the Head of Impact Management. This position involves routine field monitoring, data collection and quality assurance, case documentation, technical support on Salesforce (digital data management system), and preparation of reports. The MEL Officer will play a key role in assessing project performance, ensuring accountability, and strengthening organizational learning.
