Job Context:
∎ Monitoring and Documentation Officer for the Project on Promoting Democratic Governance and Collective Advocacy for Environmental Protection in Dhaka City Funded by USAID
∎ Experience: 3 to 5 years (Including 2 years of experience in USAID projects)
∎ Job location: Dhaka (Frequently field visit in working area)
∎ Possible Joining Date: June 1, 2022.
∎ Job Context: Contract Duration: End of the project (December 31, 2022), with possible extension depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
∎ Reporting to: Project Coordinator.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and strengthen the processes of planning, monitoring, evaluating, documentation, and reporting procedures and systems under the supervision of the Project Coordinator (PC)
∎ Design and develop different types of project-related monitoring tools and survey protocols for documentation of the project interventions and tracking progress.
∎ Develop computer-based monitoring and documentation system, using KOBO, ODK, SPSS, etc.
∎ Lead various surveys e.g., KAPB survey, PDM, HH survey, WASH infrastructure assessment, prepare questionnaires, ToR, survey design, data analysis and report preparation, using open-source data toolkit/KOBO Toolbox.
∎ Prepare Bangla/English documentaries and scriptwriting and communicate with external vendors on documentary preparation.
∎ Prepare periodical project progress reports (quantitative & qualitative), and different meeting minutes, and prepare meeting presentations (dashboard, fact sheet, infographic) in consultation with the senior management.
∎ Collect and consolidate the program data, and produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required to/by project management.
∎ Conduct frequent monitoring visits at camps/spot checks to monitor overall progress on achievement of results/ progress and provide suggestions/feedback to the project management team.
∎ Ensure reports and findings are communicated effectively through close collaboration with the project team.
∎ Develop knowledge management and documents like- success stories, best practices, and case studies from the project interventions to prepare narrative reports.
∎ Pictorial documentation and presentation of best practices and all the project interventions.
∎ Attend various internal and external meetings and M&E meetings with various stakeholders.
∎ Increase the capacity of the project staff and facilitators on the M&E system.
∎ Trained on MEAL and advocacy modules.
∎ Ability to work independently on own initiative and also to contribute as part of a team with frequent field visit.
∎ Perform other relevant duties as required for the project as well as the organization.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Core Experience/Education Required:
∎ 3 to 5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and documentation (including 2 years of experience in USAID projects).
∎ Documentary preparation - scriptwriting, visualization, and out-of-the-box thinking.
∎ Professional bilingual performance (Bangla and English).
∎ Translation and transcribing (Bangla to English and English to Bangla).
∎ Experience in the following industries:
∎ United Nations, Development Agencies, NGOs, and International NGOs.
∎ Desirable Traits:
∎ ands-on experience in project management, negotiation, cycle management, data analysis, and related program activities.
∎ Have the capability to independently run project activities, report writing, and reporting & documentation.
∎ Experience in USAID-funded projects and understanding of USAID policies.
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ The selected candidate will be given a consolidated amount of BDT 60,000 per month along with other admissible benefits.
