Job Context

BAPSA is the implementing partner of Ipas Bangladesh in a project funded by Global Affairs Canada through Health Bridge Foundation in Canada titled 'Improving Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Dhaka' (ISRHR,D) to improve availability and access of quality SRHR services, particularly family planning, MR and Post-abortion care (PAC) services for poor and ultra-poor women and adolescents living in the urban areas of greater Dhaka. The project will also work to reduce SGBV by creating awareness among city dwellers. To ensure uninterrupted SRHR services during any public health emergency, including COVID-19 pandemic, the project will also work for emergency preparedness and responses. The five-year project will be implemented from now till June 2026 in collaboration with city corporations' health authorities and their health programs, DGFP and DGHS, BGMEA and other stakeholders and partners. Paramedics for ISRHR,D project of BAPSA, is responsible for assisting in monitoring and periodical donor reporting. She will coordinate to ensure quality improvement of sexual and reproductive health services provided by the service providers and the outreach workers of UPHCDP clinics. She will support the project team in monitoring the SRHR activities, including counseling at UPHCDP clinics. The position will supportive supervision ensures data is collected from specific intervention facilities and training. This position will be based at specific urban areas of UPHCSDP health facility supported by ISRHR,D project. Paramedics will be supervised by the Program Manager for ISRHR project of BAPSA.

Job Responsibilities

• Monthly action plan should be prepared as per timeline of the project work plan. Assist to arrange capacity building and skill retention activities for the Outreach Health Workers of selected UPHCSDP clinics on Social Behavior Change (SBC)Assist to arrange orientation on Gender Based Violence/Reproductive Coercion for the counselor and service providers of selected UPHCSDP clinics On emergency crisis she has to support and provide need-based services (FP, MR, PAC, SRH) at site. SGBV, SRHR services, FP, MRM, MR & PAC all informative data has to be shared with project concern team. Support UPHCSDP clinics for record keeping and reporting of SRHR and SGBV services.
• Project supported Paramedics will ensure the supply of FP, MR and PAC related logistics & commodities for the selected General Practitioners at community level. Sharing SRHR and SGBV service data with concern project personnel and assisting in preparation of timely and accurate reports.
• Support the service provider to provide quality of SRHR services for ensuring client safety Any other tasks which may be assigned from time to time. Besides, other responsibilities given by the higher authorities must be fulfilled in time.
• In case of MR / PAC service, informed consent form must be duly filled. Any incident must be reported to the concern person within the stipulated time. Provide need-based support to encourage knowledge retention work and messages following Quarterly coordination & progress review meeting Evaluation of training effectiveness and continuous follow-up the quality-of-service delivery as per standard.
