Responsibilities & Context:

• Performing risk and value management and cost control functions. 

• Reviewing the overall status of the MEP works reporting on the progress of all MEP aspects of the project to the project director, design and commercial team. 

• Scheduling of design reviews at all gateways and control points. 

• Organising and managing technical review team resources and input. 

• Developing and monitoring the client’s brief, directing the fast-track high-end design delivery scope and execution of the scheme. 

• Overseeing the billing, BOQ, and design. 

• Developing a high-performing team that strives for quality, safety, cost, and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners, challenging and seeking to improve the project deliverables. 

• Being able to anticipate in advance clash detection of services.

• Guiding site for execution, sequentially with strict control on quality and safety norms.

• Being able to conclude with consultant drawings and designs as per DBR.

• Estimate and scope MEP trades during pre-construction. Review Contract Documents, making suggestions/modifications as they relate to the MEP trades. Manage and lead MEP subcontractors throughout duration of the project (from Groundbreaking through Commissioning and Turnover to Owner). Assist Scheduling department with developing detailed CPM schedules for all MEP installation activities, including cost and resource loading. Work with Superintendent on project logistics and temporary facility plans. Review and approve material and equipment for MEP systems prior to installation. Monitor the installation and start-up of MEP systems and commissioning of project with Engineer & Owner. Coordinate activities, materials procurement and other related activities with Project Manager and Field Staff. Communicate progress and prepare appropriate reports as needed. Supervise, develop and mentor project staff, if applicable. Lead and direct the 3-D coordination process to resolve all conflicts prior to start of installations. Take overall responsibility for the performance of all MEP trades. Supervise review and coordination of submittals and shop drawings. Preparing MEP design criteria / performance criteria for in house schematic designs for MEP systems. Managing design consultants for MEP systems planning, coordinating, monitoring,verifying MEP designs. Performing Value Engineering for the MEP system. Preparing basic cost estimations for the MEP systems. Organising the MEP tendering process preparing information, request for proposal & analysing MEP proposals. Training, developing and supervising subordinates. Perform other related duties as assigned.
