∎ Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) in Computer Science & Engineering
∎ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a STEM/Science-related field (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Mathematics)

∎ Strong knowledge and understanding of robotics principles, programming language ( Python and C++), electronics, and mechanical systems
∎ 2-3 years of experience working with students, particularly children, in an educational institute tutoring, or mentoring capacity is necessary
∎ Commitment to safety and ethical practices in robotics
∎ Preferred Qualifications
∎ Good understanding and awareness of STEM Education Syllabus
∎ Knowledge of educational technologies and online learning platforms is an advantage

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The following list of typical responsibilities you will take on is indicative, not exhaustive. You’ll have a reasonable workload that can assure high-quality results
∎ Provide one-on-one or group mentorship to K-12 students, offering guidance, encouragement, and support in their STEM studies
∎ Demonstrate a strong understanding of science concepts across various STEM disciplines and effectively communicate them to students
∎ Assist students in grasping challenging technical concepts, problem-solving techniques, and critical thinking skills
∎ Collaborate with the Discovery Education and Thimble.io team to develop lesson plans, and educational resources to enhance students' learning experience
∎ Assess students' strengths and weaknesses and tailor instruction to meet their needs, ensuring a personalized learning experience
∎ Instruct and train students with hands-on demonstrations of robotic concepts and principles. This may include theoretical explanations and practical demonstrations with assembly and programming languages
∎ Provide insight and information about potential STEM career paths, higher education opportunities, and the importance of STEM in various industries
∎ Inspire and motivate students to explore and pursue STEM fields, promoting curiosity, creativity, and a passion for technical and software skills
∎ Track and monitor students' progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to help them succeed
∎ Collaborate with fellow mentors, educators, and parents to create a supportive and enriching learning environment for students
∎ We're looking for a Robotics Mentor with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) background who can guide and help students as they explore robotics and related subjects. You will mentor, academically support, and guide K-12 kids as they build their skills in robotics engineering and programming principles. This position requires a thorough understanding of robotics principles, programming languages such as C++ and Python, electronic components, and related technologies. As a mentor, you must be passionate about science and technology, have strong communication skills, and be able to inspire youngsters to pursue STEM careers.
