Experience:

• At most 2 years

• Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; candidates with relevant experience and a pharmacy background will be preferred.

• Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
• High attention to detail and strong grammar/spelling abilities.        
• Fast and accurate typing skills.        
• Proficient in transcription software and Microsoft Office.      
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Transcribe dictated medical reports from physicians and other healthcare providers into electronic documents.

• Edit and proofread transcriptions for grammar, clarity, consistency, and medical accuracy.

• Review and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness.

• Interpret and apply correct medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses in transcription.

• Ensure transcription is completed in a timely manner to support patient care and billing processes.

• Maintain patient confidentiality according to United Hospital policies.

• Use speech recognition software and correct errors resulting from automatic transcription.

• Work with medical staff to clarify inconsistencies or missing information.

• Organize and archive reports electronically or in physical files as needed.

• Stay updated with current medical terminology, abbreviations, and new technology used in transcription.
