Responsibilities & Context:
Application is invited from the qualified candidates for the position of Medical Technologist, Dept of Clinical Microbiology on prevailing terms and conditions of IAHS-H:
Job Responsibilities
Analyzing the chemical constituents of patients body fluids
Conducting culture and sensitivity tests
Identifying bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites
Performing biochemical and serological tests
Operating sophisticated lab equipment such as cell counters and microscopes
Storing and retrieving equipment and chemicals according to the specifications
Logging data from medical tests and entering results into a patient’s medical record
Discussing the results and findings of lab tests and procedures with physicians
Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas
Gathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubes
Accurately updating patient information in the organizational database
Working with supervising Physicians and following their directions at all times
Executing any other duties assigned by the authority.
