• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)

• MBBS with a post-graduation training course in opthalmology from any recognized institute;

• Age may be relaxed for deserving candidates;

• Experienced candidates will get preference.

RDRS Bangladesh is seeking application for the position of Medical Officer (Eye care Specialist) under RDRS Core Comprehensive Program.

 A. Outdoor patient management

• To manage OPD patients, assist the supervisor during a round at the ward, perform medical check-ups, and discharge letters, supervise patients' admission files, and ensure the highest standard of inpatient care.
• Assist the annual operational plan of the Eye care center with the team. 

B. Perform operations:

• Perform all kinds of ophthalmological operations.
• Maintain/ensure all aseptic measures are in operation.

C. Supervise:

• Contribute clinical expertise to patient care and guide medical staff.
• To supervise the activities of paramedics, nurses, OT assistants, and other hospital staff.

D. Patient screening & counseling:

• Counseling the entire postoperative patient.
• Counseling the patient about cataract operation benefits.

E. Eye camp:

• Provide service at PSP and refer the operative patient to the main base.
• Participation in an eye patient screening camp (PSP) in the field.

F. Record keeping:

• Keep, update & submit all operation patient list reports.

G. Liaison and correspondence:

• Assist Liaison and correspondence with various Organizations, NGO, central office, SC, and other offices

H. General:

• Attend trainings, meetings, and workshops to update knowledge and skills as assigned and disseminate new knowledge/ information/lessons learned.
• Willing to work in any natural disaster or emergency anywhere in Bangladesh
