Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Nursing
∎ Qualified Nurse with a Nursing diploma/certificate or Qualified Paramedic with Paramedic diploma/certificate or Qualified Medical Assistant with Medical Assistant diploma
∎ Registered with local Medical Assistant Council.
∎ Diploma or certificate in public health (Desirable)
∎ Training in humanitarian standards (Desirable)
Experience Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ To provide clinical care to COBID-19 affected patients admitted in the SARI-ITC facilities.
∎ WC/Medair will support a ITC facility being run by IOM.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ (Technical - Clinical care)
∎ Provide direct clinical care, working closely with the clinical staff to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical care.
∎ Triage, screening and assessment of patients.
∎ Performs basic first aid.
∎ Delivery of hygiene promotion, health education and patient/caregiver counselling.
∎ Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control measures.
∎ Treat patients according to standard treatment protocols.
∎ Ensure accurate recording of information in the clinic registers, and timely completion of summary reports.
∎ Ensure wards/clinic areas are appropriately stocked with essential equipment and supplies.
∎ Ensure patient confidentiality is respected, and that all consultations are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner.
∎ Provide mental and Psycho social care as necessary
∎ (Staff Supervision & Development)
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and provide guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
∎ Provide support and mentor ship to other clinic staff, providing on-the-job training where needed.
∎ (Coordination & Representation)
∎ Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities and other implementing partners.
∎ Attend internal and external meetings as needed
∎ (Monitoring & Reporting)
∎ Ensure all patient consultations are documented and patient records completed.
∎ Submit daily reports in a timely manner.
∎ Ensure regular inventory and consumption tracking of medical drugs and supplies.
∎ Work with relevant staff to ensure prompt requesting of medical drugs and supplies.
∎ (Other Duties)
∎ Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of the team; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to Medair management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for the health team.
∎ Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop the health team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 20 to 55 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 2 years clinical Medical Assistance experience in primary healthcare.
∎ Mental health/MhGap experience is added advantage (Desirable)
∎ Previous work experience within emergency and disease outbreak contexts.(Desirable)
∎ Previous experience and training in sexual gender based violence (Desirable)
∎ Previous work with a humanitarian NGO (Desirable)
∎ Fluent in written and spoken English
∎ Fluent in Bengali
∎ Fluent in Chittagonian dialect
∎ Fluent in Rohingya language (Desirable)
∎ Self-motivated
∎ Desire to serve the Rohingya community
∎ Willingness to work in a remote setting
∎ Willing to do tasks outside of Job Description when asked
∎ Enjoys working in a team environment
∎ Respectful towards other cultures
∎ Able to establish relationships easily
∎ Good interpersonal skills (Desirable)
