Job Context:
∎ Nazrul Smriti Sangsad-NSS is a non-government Humanitarian Organization working for advancement of poor men, women, children, youth, excluded people and person with disability since 2000. It is a non-profitable, non-political, child and gender sensitive organization. ∎ NSS is going to implement a project titled "Partnerships for Improved Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) in Coastal Bangladesh" which is funded by Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP) and supported by Concern Worldwide. The project will be implemented at Amtali and Taltoli upazilas under Barguna district. The project duration is January 2023 to December 2026. NSS is seeking a competent MEAL Officer,experienced in implementing projects on Reproductive, Maternal, New-born, Child and Adolescent Healthor similar type of project. The Training, Gender, Equality and Inclusion Officeris responsible for daily oversight of the project activities including capacity building of the team members, community people and assist PC for accomplishing day-to-day activities of the project.
∎ Job Location: Amtaliand Taltoli Upazila of Barguna District.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ MEAL Officer shall assist the project management in overall planning, budgeting, implementation, and monitoring of the project activities.
∎ Participate in program design and proposal discussions, including log frame design and budgeting for M&E.
∎ He/ She shall assist PC in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning of the project towards achieving its goal as per ToC and LFA.
∎ Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans and budgets for implementation of the project activities.
∎ Develop relevant tools for process, input and output monitoring of project activities as per project design.Develop monitoring mechanism for tracking the project interventions.
∎ Provide technical support to field staffs for conducting survey, data collection etc.
∎ Monitor the progress of the project regularly basis with at least80% time in field visit and supervise the subordinate colleagues in supportive role.
∎ Maintain communication and liaison with Government's respective line departmentsand other NGOs (including I NGO).
∎ Maintain relationshipwith Community Clinics, Union Health Centers, UpazilaHealth Complex representatives to strengthen health service for community people.
∎ Assist field staff as well as project management sharing the field findings for improving the quality of the field activities.
∎ Monitor the quality of different types of events i.e meeting, training, orientation expenditure and submitted data from field.
∎ Assist PC to develop IEC materials, training modules, session plans, schedules, leaflets, brochures, factsheets, posters, booklets, flipcharts and audio-visual documents.
∎ Build strong relationships with Upazila level Government Health and Family Planning Officials, Local Government representatives, and CSO and other outlets so that our stakeholders efforts receive the best coverage for advancing their goals.
∎ Participate in the district and upazila level GO-NGO, coordination meetings and Hospital Management Committee meetings.
∎ Prepare monthly report and documentation on different activities and accumulate all data for ensuring quality and authenticity.
∎ Collect data, information, prepare result and impact base reports, case study, best practice etc.
∎ Assist PC to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required by the project and share them with donor as well as other stakeholders for review and feedback to improve the areas.
∎ Always get ready to facilitate the progress of the project with internal and external visitors.
∎ Provide support to the management to prepare annual report, case story and report on best practices.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse PSEA policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Carryout administrative functions as desired by the project to meet the policy requirements of the organization and donor compliance. Assist the higher management in planning and decision making.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Minimum 5 years of experience in similartype of projectin NGOs preferably with international or national organizations.
∎ Have excellent knowledge in developing monitoring tools, sound knowledge about LFA and TOC.
∎ Skilled in motorcycle driving with valid driving license is priority.
∎ High level of IT skill especially in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, SPSS operatingand internet communication.
∎ Contacts and Key Relationship
∎ His/Her main contact with Project Coordinator, Executive Director, Concern Worldwide Team,Director Program, HR and Finance Team.
∎ Must have a good understanding on logical framework and theory of change.
∎ Have knowledge on data collection techniques, sampling methodology, and M&E concepts.
∎ Able to take decisions promptly, prioritize and multi-task seamlessly.
∎ Proven writing and oral communication skills in English and Bengali.
∎ Excellent facilitation/coaching skill to conduct orientation, training, workshop etc.
∎ Excellent leadership capacity to maintain excellent team building and conflict response management.
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
∎ Pro-active, self-starter and result oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary:
∎ TK. 43,300 per month with festival bonus and other admissible benefits according to the project budget.
