Job Context:
∎ Duration : Long-term Project
∎ LEDARS is NGO Affairs Bureau affiliated NGO working in the southwest coastal region of Bangladesh since 1998. The southwest coastal region is one of the climate vulnerable areas of the country and people are suffering severely. In this context, LEDARS is implementing numbers of projects focusing climate change, climate justice, environment conservation, gender and youth development etc. LEDARS is going to appoint a MEAL Officer in its core program to provide quality input and to ensure quality project management and implementation in line with the framework of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL). It is the senior level position and will be the key person for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) on behalf of the organization. She/he will be fully responsible to ensure the ongoing project`s implementation in right track of the organization. Following are major job requirements of this post:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct regular ongoing monitoring to keep the project in right track,
∎ Data collection, data input, data analysis and assist report preparation,
∎ Form development, field test and finalize the monitoring tools,
∎ Provide support to filed visit of donor, internal and external evaluator.
∎ Program supervision and provide technical support field staff,
∎ Prepare and submit monitoring report, case stories, short report, etc.
∎ Ensure standard level of reporting and documentation includes maintaining and preserving all reports, meeting minutes, photographs and other documents,
∎ Keep close eyes in all of project's area to keep concern management and administration,
∎ Assist or conduct field study, action research, survey, investigation, donor visit etc as and when required,
∎ Conduct periodic assessment as per project's demand and prepare project's monitoring report in time,
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly monitoring reports and submit to the management and other relevant sources,
∎ Present project's status in respect to its progress in the monthly staff meeting,
∎ Conduct FGDs, KIIs or other participatory tools to validate or generate data for evaluation or progress report,
∎ Assist organizational fund raising team by providing necessary data and information for developing proposal, project sheet and project concept note,
∎ Assist & organize project's event, (conduct training, filed level sessions, agriculture fair etc)
∎ Represent LEDARS to government, donor and other senior level meeting,
∎ Supervise and monitoring all project's activities regularly and report to the management,
∎ Ensure appropriate utilization & maintenance of all equipment including computer, printer, camera and other fixed assets.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ At least 6/7 years in senior level management in NGO including at least 3 years working experience as MEAL Officer.
∎ Interested to travel in rural area and driving motor bike and have valid driving license.
∎ Candidate who has experience to write concept note, project proposal, logical framework development, etc. will get priority.
∎ Applicant who has working experience in coastal area will get special priority.
∎ Good knowledge on computer operation including Office software and internet browsing,
∎ Should have good inter-personal skill and clear knowledge on climate change, DRR, gender & development, capacity building etc.
∎ Knowledge on IEC and BCC materials development.
∎ Good command in Bangla and English
∎ Good knowledge on computer operation including Office software and internet browsing,
∎ Knowledge on QA mechanisms & evidence based system and experiences in working with matrix and accountability standards preferred.
Salary: Tk. 40000 - 42500 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Yearly increment, festival bonus and provident funds.
