Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Create, update, and maintain master data (e.g., material master, vendor master, customer master, BOMs, etc.) in SAP and PLM systems.
∎ Establishing and enforcing master data standards and quality rules within the SAP PLM system, including data attributes, validation checks, and data cleansing processes.
∎ Defining data ownership and accountability across different departments to ensure data integrity.
∎ Monitoring data quality and identifying areas for improvement through regular data audits.
∎ Gathering product information from various sources (engineering, marketing, manufacturing) and accurately inputting it into the SAP PLM system.
∎ Managing the lifecycle of product master data, including creating new product records, updating existing data, and retiring obsolete products.
∎ Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency across different SAP modules (e.g., sales, production planning).
∎ Identifying and resolving data discrepancies or conflicts within the PLM system.
∎ Investigating and addressing root causes of data quality issues.
∎ Communicating data quality concerns to relevant stakeholders and coordinating necessary corrective actions.
∎ Maintaining and configuring SAP PLM system settings related to master data management.
∎ Implementing data migration processes to update the PLM system with new product information.
∎ Job Summary:
