Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee accurate and timely preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns
∎ Ensure proper maintenance of Mushak registers as applicable
∎ Advise client to maintain proper VAT-related documentation including VAT Challans, VDS certificates, and input-output co-efficient
∎ Ensure compliance with VAT invoice requirements
∎ Provide VAT advisory support on business transactions, procurement, and pricing strategies.
∎ Identify VAT risk exposures.
∎ Handle VAT audits by the NBR and assist in preparing responses to VAT-related queries, show-cause notices, or demands.
∎ Represent the company in VAT hearings
∎ Guide relevant departments on VAT rules relating to import, export, bonded warehouse operations, etc.
∎ Train finance and non-finance staff on VAT requirements.
∎ Stay updated on changes in VAT laws, SROs, and NBR notifications and communicate implications to management.
∎ A. Wahab & Co. is one of the oldest Chartered Accountant firm in Bangladesh is looking for a Manager VAT Affairs who will oversee and manage all Value Added Tax (VAT) related matters of Clients of the firm in compliance with the Value Added Tax and Supplementary Duty Act, 2012 and related rules and SROs issued by the National Board of Revenue (NBR). The role involves -
∎ Oversee accurate and timely preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns
