Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Manager - Urban Slum Children Education Program (USCEP) will work under direct supervision of Deputy Director-EYE, (USCE) to provide overall technical support in implementing the urban slum children education program.
∎ S/he will provide technical and capacity strengthening support to the Implementing Agencies (IAs) through facilitating Accelerated Education Model, USCE program design, curriculum, pedagogy and development of the tracking management system.
∎ The incumbent's main responsibilities will provide technical supports to IAs to ensure quality learning of learners, teacher capacity building (on job teacher training), school compound monitoring and supervision, learning assessment and technical support to teachers for developing supplementary education materials.
∎ S/he will coordinate with IAs/partner staff and conduct regular field visits on designing and strengthening classroom support systems.
∎ The Manager-USCEP will support the IAs in preparing self-reporting and monitoring data and provide all relevant information.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 6 years' experience, of which 3 years in management position, including 2 years' in technical position in Education/PVT program. Experience on working in Accelerated Education Model for out of school children will be added value.
∎ Demonstrated clear understanding on people centric program management and program implementation in the urban Slum area.
∎ Proven experience of monitoring and follow up of overall inputs and outcomes of the program and ensure data collection accuracy for effective implementation of the USCE program.
∎ Ensure the quality of the classroom learning environment as per guidelines and experience of facilitating the meeting with GoB, IAs and Local Govt. officials.
∎ Excellent proficiency in report writing both Bangla and English, analyses field data for decision making related to program operations.
∎ Demonstrated experience to develop education materials, ToT manual, teachers training manual and materials as per the urban context.
∎ Ability to liaison with relevant IAs, GOB officials and relevant national and international organizations.
∎ Ability to ensure quality program monitoring, evaluation, and research for enhancing quality of Urban Slum Children Education Program.
∎ S/he should be required to travel to the field areas at least 50% of time
