Responsibilities & Context:
Ensure timely and accurate submission of income tax returns, VAT returns, withholding tax statements and other statutory declarations.
Monitor compliance with applicable Income Tax Act, VAT & Supplementary Duty Act, rules, SROs, circulars and regulatory requirements.
Provide tax advice to management and different business functions regarding purchases, sales, imports, contracts, employee benefits and other transactions.
Assess tax implications of new products, business arrangements, investments and commercial agreements.
Coordinate income tax and VAT audits, assessments, investigations and inspections.
Review tax-related transactions, ledgers, provisions and reconciliations.
