Manager - PSEA and Safeguarding

Job Context:
SHED is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager - PSEA and Safeguarding - to lead and manage the implementation of all safeguarding policies, PSEA frameworks, and child protection protocols across our programs in Cox`s Bazar. The Manager will ensure a safe operating environment for staff, partners, and beneficiaries, particularly women and children, through robust compliance, training, and response mechanisms. Job Descriptions / Responsibilities:
Policy & System Implementation:
Oversee the effective implementation, review, and updating of SHED`s Safeguarding, PSEA, and Child Protection policies in line with national laws (e.g., Children Act 2013 and Women and Children Repression Prevention Act 2000) and international standards.
Develop and manage confidential reporting and response mechanisms, including a centralized case management system.
Training & Capacity Building:
Design and deliver mandatory, context-specific training on PSEA, Child Safeguarding, and Code of Conduct to all staff, volunteers, and partners.
Ensure all investigators have the necessary training on forensic evidence collection, child-sensitive interviewing, and adherence to confidentiality protocols.
Case Management & Investigation (Crucial Focus):
Serve as the lead focal point for receiving and managing reports of alleged PSEA and safeguarding breaches.
Coordinate and/or conduct confidential, impartial, and timely investigations of reported incidents, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organizational procedures.
Liaise closely with external law enforcement and legal bodies, including the Women and Children`s Desks, Victim Support Centers, and CID/Special Branch, providing support and documentation as required.
Ensure all investigative actions comply with the rules under the Children Act 2013 regarding child-friendly investigation procedures.
Oversight & Reporting:
Lead the coordination of safeguarding efforts within a multi-sectoral team (police, social services, health, legal aid).
Provide regular and comprehensive reports to the Executive Director on PSEA and Safeguarding compliance, risks, and
BDT 78,000 per month (Gross) (Seventy-Eight Thousand Taka Only.)
Duration: Initially for three months, effective from January to March 2026, with a high possibility of extension.
