Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position is will act as procurement & warehouse focal for Cox's Bazar office, will be mainly responsible for leading and managing all procurement and warehouse related activities of Cox's Bazar office.
∎ S/he will also provide direct and technical line management support to procurement & warehouse staff and teams both at Cox's Bazar and field levels.
∎ Under guidance and supervision of Senior Manager - Procurement & Supply Chain, s/he will ensure all procurement is conducted as per SCI policy and procedure, support country office in conducting Frame work agreement and high value procurement for cox's bazar operation.
∎ S/he will also responsible for overall execution of emergency, general program and support service procurement, maintaining receiving, warehousing and distribution of goods and maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
∎ S/he will ensure best use of SCI's resources mainly by (a) ensuring "value for money", (b) adapting best practices within the sector, and (c) upgrading the capacity of staff within the department.
∎ As such, the role may include remote management, management of multiple field bases or direct line management of large projects or functions, thematic interventions, and complexity.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 6 years' experience in the field of Procurement and Supply Chain, including 3 years in management position;
∎ Experience in logistics in emergency response highly desirable;
∎ Experience in the distribution of both food and non-food items;
∎ Experience in working with local commodities transporters;
∎ Knowledge of international standards related to logistics and procurement
∎ Hand-on experience on with working with vendor contract, tender and bidding process
∎ Proficiency in MS Office, skills on other software related to supply chain will be an advantage
