- Minimum 5 to 6 years of professional experience in media relations, journalism, public relations, or strategic communications.

- Strong written and verbal communication abilities in both English and Bangla for effective coordination and correspondence.
- In-depth understanding of the media landscape, including traditional and digital media channels.

Job Purpose
We are looking for a dynamic Manager, Media Relations and Partnerships who will strengthen BRAC’s visibility and reputation by leading proactive media engagement and cultivating strong relationships with key media stakeholders. This role will be responsible for the timely and strategic dissemination of programme-related content, supporting crisis communication efforts, and ensuring external messaging aligns with BRAC’s overarching strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of BRAC’s media strategy by engaging with national and regional media to ensure effective coverage of programmes and campaigns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and sector-specific media professionals.
- Coordinate the creation and timely dissemination of press releases, media kits, talking points, and Q&A documents.
- Monitor media coverage, flag issues, and support crisis communication responses in coordination with the Lead, Media Relations.
- Liaise with programme teams to develop compelling human-interest stories and news content for earned media.
- Plan and execute media outreach for campaigns, events, and launches to maximise visibility and alignment with strategic goals.
- Organise media visits to programme sites and facilitate interviews or appearances by BRAC spokespeople with necessary briefing support.
- Track media engagement outcomes and prepare regular analytical reports to inform strategy and risk mitigation.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
