Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

Ahmed Group, a reputed leading figure in the textile industry of Bangladesh is looking for experienced professional for the position of Manager (Commercial) for a spinning mill.

Job Responsibilities       

  • Manage local LC transactions including opening, acceptance, and payment settlement with banks.       

  • Ensure all LC terms and conditions are met for local suppliers and buyers.        

  • Communicate with banks to resolve LC-related issues and discrepancies.        

  • Manage the acceptance process of financial documents related to local purchases and sales.        

  • Ensure all party acceptance documents are processed on time and in accordance with company policies.       

  • Ensure smooth handling of banking instruments such as demand drafts, payment orders, and bank guarantees.        

  • Liaise with banks for the preparation, modification, and settlement of LCs for local transactions.

  • Oversee the issuance and verification of Challan for local product deliveries and returns.

  • Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure that all commercial processes run efficiently.        

  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on commercial activities, party acceptance, LC status, and transaction records to senior management.

  • Provide feedback to improve commercial operations and streamline documentation processes.        

  • Ensure timely preparation and management of all commercial documents related to local transactions.        

  • Handle all necessary documentation including Challan, invoices, delivery orders, and party acceptance letters.        

  • Verify and maintain records for accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.

  • Proper knowledge about Incoterms and UCP-600.

  • Carry out the responsibilities as assigned by the management in time to time.
