∎ Introduction:
∎ Fortress Group, a leading real estate development company in Dhaka, is seeking a seasoned Accounting Manager who specializes in Bangladesh VAT and tax laws. This pivotal role oversees our financial operations, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and managing fiscal aspects of real estate projects, including product replacements and corrections in warehouse and factory settings.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ • Oversee financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasting with an eye toward compliance and strategic planning.
∎ • Enforce rigorous compliance with Bangladesh government VAT and tax laws within all facets of the business, especially in real estate transactions and operational compliance.
∎ • Supervise the accurate filing of VAT, tax forms, and ensuring VAT Challan for each product delivery and adjustment.
∎ • Manage employee salary processing, including deductions for VAT and other applicable taxes, ensuring full compliance with local tax regulations.
∎ • Direct the preparation of VAT Reconciliation Statements between VAT records and accounting records to ensure seamless alignment.
∎ • Lead the issuance of VDS certificates to suppliers and manage inventory registers per statutory requirements.
∎ • Oversee quarterly and yearly financial reports to confirm VAT rebates in alignment with the group's VAT strategy.
∎ • Coordinate with VAT Circle, Division, Commissionerate for ongoing compliance and relationship management.
∎ • Administer VAT audits by the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Auditor General (AG), and other government authorities, ensuring all practices meet statutory standards.
∎ • Provide leadership and development for the accounting team, focusing on compliance, accuracy, and financial integrity in real estate settings.

∎ Required Qualifications:
∎ • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional accounting qualification is highly desirable.
∎ • At least 10 years of managerial experience in accounting, with a significant focus on real estate development.
∎ • Expertise in Bangladesh VAT and tax regulations as they apply to the real estate sector and employee compensation.
∎ • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
∎ • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
∎ • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
∎ • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
