Job Context:
∎ (Based in Dhaka Country Office and Reports to the Director, Accounting and Finance)
∎ Position Overview: Manager, A&F manages day to day financial operations and issues. Provides technical financial analysis on financial activities to Director, A&F for decision making and to formulize future financial plans. Produces and shares financial management report to Director, A&F and Country Management Team (CMT) on periodically and as per need. Manages team consist of CO based Officer, Senior Associate and Associates. Coordinates with Project and Field Managers, Admin Manager and Admin and Finance staff to ensure smooth financial operation in place. The position reports to the Director, Accounting and Finance. The position will have interactions with both CO, FO and GO staff.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitor day-to-day financial operations within the organization (payroll, payments, and other transactions)
∎ Manages CO based Finance and Accounting Officer, Senior Associate and Associates
∎ Coordinate with People Ops and Admin team regarding outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
∎ Track the organization's including projects financial status and performance to identify areas for improvement
∎ Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
∎ Provide insightful information and expectations to Director, A&F and CMT to support in long-term and short-term decision making by participating in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling
∎ Assist Director, A&F, CMT and Department heads in preparing and planning budget for Room to Read and Donor.
∎ Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
∎ Communicate and present financial reports to GO and Donor in formal meetings
∎ Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
∎ Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the organization
∎ Prepare annul consolidated budget and monthly consolidated cash forecast
∎ Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting
∎ Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests
∎ Manage the organization's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
∎ Responsible for detailed routine reporting to GO, Donors and GoB explained budgeted vs actuals, over/under spent and the explanations of the variances
∎ Ensure compliance with accounting policies of GO and Donors and regulatory requirements for GoB (specially NBR and NGOAB)
∎ Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation

Additional Requirements:
∎ Preferred partly qualified Accounting Professional of recognized Accounting body (CA/CIMA/CMA)
∎ 5-8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
∎ Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
∎ Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners at CO and GO level
∎ Skills & Competencies Required: Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills
∎ Knowledge on new technologies, financial reporting
∎ Superior mathematical skills; managerial skills and experience
∎ Understanding of data privacy standards
∎ Organizational skills; planning skills
∎ Research skills; analytical skills; critical thinking skills; problem-solving skills
∎ Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
