Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Opportunity :
∎ The Manager-Accountability and Effectiveness will work closely with program team and MEAL team to put the children and communities at the centre of our work through supporting the Country Office to integrate child-friendly, gender-sensitive, inclusive, accessible, and appropriate accountability systems and child participation in all contexts. S/he will play a facilitative role to support to integrate meaningful and ethical child participation within their work and provide support the use of accountability data and child/community participation analysis to influence strategic decision-making and advocacy with children and communities. S/he will be expected to mentor and/or capacity build MEAL, technical and programme staff as well as partner staff. The Manager will support the generation of evidence and learning on Accountability Effectiveness and Child Participation. S/he will use analysis of the context, and children and community preferences to design inclusive and accessible feedback and reporting channels that are accessible to children.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 6 years' experience preferably in Qualitative Research, MEAL/Accountability, and/or Programme
∎ Experience of working in both first-phase responses AND recovery contexts or protracted crises.
∎ Experience of working with local and national partners on the topic of accountability to children and communities and/or child participation.
∎ Experience in setting up accountability systems, including feedback and reporting mechanisms and information sharing processes using multi-modal approaches.
∎ Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a proven record of convincing senior leadership to support improvements in program quality.
∎ Proven ability in using data and analysis to influence programmatic change.
∎ Proven capacity to supervise, train and coach/mentor staff.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel
