• Minimum 7–12 years of relevant experience in power station mechanical maintenance in which 2-3 years as mechanical department head is mandatory.

• Hands-on experience with HFO-based heavy-duty gen set, cogeneration systems, steam turbines, auxiliary systems and associated power plant equipment is mandatory.  

• Experience with Wartsila W20V32 engines and Triveni steam turbines will be preferred.

• Candidates having no experience in Power Station O&M  and age below 30 should not apply.·  

• Practical experience in engine maintenance, troubleshooting and major overhauling.

• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to manage maintenance teams and coordinate effectively with operations and other departments.

• Good communication, reporting and computer skills.

Job Context

Hosaf Group is looking for a competent and experienced “Maintenance Manager – Mechanical” to oversee mechanical maintenance activities at its 113 MW HFO-based Co-generation power plant in Noakhali. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime and maintaining the plant’s mechanical systems in optimal operating condition.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective mechanical maintenance activities for the power plant.

• Ensure proper maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and overhauling of HFO-based heavy-duty engines, generators, steam turbines and associated auxiliary equipment.

• Supervise maintenance of Wartsila W20V32 engines, Triveni steam turbines, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, cooling systems, fuel oil systems, lubrication systems and other plant machinery.

• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

• Identify mechanical faults, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures.

• Coordinate major overhauling, equipment inspection and servicing activities with OEMs, contractors and technical service providers.

• Ensure the availability of critical spare parts, maintenance tools and equipment.

• Monitor maintenance costs, prepare technical reports and maintain proper maintenance records.

• Lead and supervise the mechanical maintenance team to ensure execution of maintenance works on time with safety and quality.

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and company policies.
