Job Context:
∎ Social Assistance and Rehabilitation for the Physically Vulnerable (SARPV) is a non- government, non-political, Bangladeshi organization providing humanitarian support to the Rohingya people at Bhasan Char. As part of its Health & Nutrition interventions in support with UNHCR & WFP, SARPV is implementing "Integrated nutrition interventions to address malnutrition among Rohingya refugees" project from 1st September 2022.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual, until 31st December, 2023
∎ Job Location: Bhasan Char, Noakhali
Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1: Receiving requisition from the program team for distribution:
∎ Receiving requisition from the program team for food and Non-food to be distributed at the field/camp level.
∎ Prepare waybill/delivery note for transportation of materials from the project warehouse to field/camp level.
∎ 2: Managing the Casual labor:
∎ Managing the casual labor needed for loading, unloading, and others.
∎ Payment management of casual labor.
∎ 3: Preparing Transport for the distribution of the product:
∎ Communicate with the local transport vendor for the availability of the vehicles needed to transfer the materials/food from the SARPV project warehouse to the field/camp level.
∎ Communicate with the site supervisor/line manager for requisition as per need of food to be transported.
∎ Communicate with site supervisor/line manager the for requisition as per need of Non-food items to be transported a minimum one 15 days ago.
∎ Managing the loading and unloading of the materials from the pickup point and the distribution point.
∎ 4: Check the quality of the received goods & items:
∎ Examine the deliveries: quantity, quality, and documentation.
∎ Report to the line managers about details of receiving information after receiving any materials & food and any problem share with the quality and quantity.
∎ 5: Reporting:
∎ Monthly stock report Prepared (food, medicine & Non-food items) by the last day of each month and will submit to line manager by 1st working day of next month. If any month's 1st working day a holiday, then the report will submit before the holiday.
∎ Prepare physical Inventory reports by the last working day of each month and submit to line manager by the 1st working day of next month.
∎ Maintain documents properly and keep it accessible at any time
∎ 6: Stock and warehouse management:
∎ Managing the stock for the stores/warehouses under this project.
∎ Ensure the warehouse is following standards for food items and non-food items
∎ Taking effective initiative for pest control, fumigation, and cleanliness of the warehouse with consulting line manager.
∎ Ensure capacity buildup of all supervisee staff through job training.
∎ 7: Damage/loss:
∎ Damage/Loss report prepared when any damage/loss occurred in the facility store or warehouse with the concern of line manager.
∎ Damage/ loss entry in the stock book according to the loss report.
∎ Inform to line manager about damage/loss within twenty-four (24) hours.
∎ Take necessary Steps to process damage/loss according to the Line manager.
∎ 8: Other's responsibility
∎ Additional Tasks delegated by the Line Manager.
∎ Provide support as and when requested as per program needs at any time or day.
∎ Support in procurement
∎ Need basis movement between Bhasan Char and Cox's Bazar office
Additional Requirements:
∎ 1 years of Professional experience as in Assistant Logistics Officer is preferred. Experience with NGO/INGO is preferable.
∎ Experience in Bhasan Char will add value.
∎ Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.
∎ Competency in Microsoft excel, word, PowerPoint, and basic communication apps like WhatsApp or Messenger.
∎ Speaking in Chittagong language is preferable.
∎ Ability to work under pressure, excellent English communication skills, reporting and documentation.
∎ Competency: Device operatinsg, Computer skill, internet browsing, Communication skill.
Salary: Tk. 45000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Two days weekly holiday ( Friday & Saturday)
∎ Mobile bill, internet bill, Travel bill as per Organization policy.
