• Age At least 18 years

• Enrolled Advocate with a valid license to practice; High Court Division enrollment is preferred.

• Relevant experience in litigation practice, preferably with experience in banking/NBFI litigation and/or financial institutions.

• Lead and supervise the Litigation function, including in-house case management and court proceedings and hearing.

• Manage IPDC’s overall litigation portfolio, including monitoring of cases, legal actions, recovery-related litigation and reporting to the Head of Legal.

• Ensure timely implementation of Management decisions and legal strategies relating to litigation matters.

• Coordinate with and represent IPDC before courts, government authorities, law enforcement agencies and other relevant authorities in connection with legal inquiries and proceedings.

• Coordinate and monitor the activities of external legal counsel/panel lawyers and ensure timely follow-up of assigned cases.

• Provide regular updates and reports to the Head of Legal/Management on litigation status, risks, developments and required actions.

• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and go the extra mile when required.
