Education:
∎ Ph.D/Masters with 3 or 4 years Honours degree in Information Science and Library Management from any recognized University. Preferred: Ph.D.Experience

∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ The applicants should have at least 15 years' experience in the University Education and Library Management System.
∎ The incumbent should have fluent communication and writing skill in English and excellent IT Knowledge including PPT presentation of meetings.
∎ Excellent communication, collaborative, and interpersonal soft skills.
∎ Must be experienced in reporting through email using Bangla and English.
∎ Exceptionally qualified/experienced candidates will get preference.
∎ 5 years practical experience as Deputy Librarian in any recognized University.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Applications are invited for the post of Librarian of USTC on prevailing terms and conditions.
∎ Managing library budgets and resources.
∎ Be responsible for developing a library and information resources center supporting teaching, independent research and learning in the university.
∎ Ensuring that library services meet the needs of users.
∎ Developing IT facilities in the library.
∎ Assisting readers to use computer equipment, conduct literature searches etc.
∎ Promoting the library's resources to users. Collecting and cataloging library resources including books, films, and publications.
∎ Helping people locate reference and leisure reading materials.
∎ Maintaining library records and ensuring they are up to date.
∎ Performing regular audits of the information and inventory on file.
∎ Educating patrons on how to properly search for information using the library databases.
∎ Managing planning, and employee activities.
∎ Overseeing the check - out process for books and other resource materials.
∎ Organizing and hosting book sales, author signings, and other reading events.
∎ Clarifying the use of library amenities and providing information about library policies.
∎ Ensuring the library meets the needs of precise groups of its users, including postgraduate students and disabled students.
