Job Context:
∎ An international Organization working with the Law enforcement agencies to rescue victims of slavery, bring criminal networks to justice and spark systemic change. We restore lives, secure communities at risk from traffickers
∎ The Legal Officers are responsible to report the Legal Adviser.
∎ Duration of the contract: 1 year (renewal of contract based on performance)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Engage with panel lawyer to help move the cases in the Tribunals in organization's working districts
∎ Engage with Special public Prosecutor (SPP) to help expedite the prosecution of human trafficking cases pending trial
∎ Coordinate with relevant stakeholders on witness protection
∎ Assist Investigation Officers in collecting evidence from repatriated victims in cases where applicable
∎ Develop and maintain a data base on Human Trafficking cases
∎ Review and analyze pending HT cases and engage with complainant for new case intake
∎ Create a coordination platform at District and national level for expediting prosecution process of human trafficking case
∎ Work as an effective Prosecution Team member to help survivors pursue justice in the court of law
∎ Represent the organization in different forums when and as necessary
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Enrolled as an Advocate ( Required)
∎ 7 to 8 years experience as a criminal law practitioner ( Required)
∎ Knowledge and experience in dealing with human trafficking cases is preferable
∎ Excellent command of English writing and speaking.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 50000 - 60000 (Monthly)
∎ Festival Bonus
