Experience:
A finance graduate or a degree in finance is a must.

Experience of 4-5 years as a finance person is a must
Prior experience of 1-2 years in the Grant Management will be preferred
Experience in the development sector will be preferred
Experience in preparing and reviewing grant budgets
Experience in preparing financial reports
Expert understanding of statutory compliances as per the law of the land
Enthusiastic, self-starter, ready to roll up your sleeves and solve problems
Keen to experiment and open to learning from failure, iterating on program design and delivery
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluent in the local language and able to deliver workshops in as needed. Other language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities will be driven by the Head of the department and supported by the Program Lead. The person hired in this position is expected to assist in thought partnership as well as drive the execution and management accounting of such projects as may be assigned. The major aspects of the role of the person are:
Finance & Grants Management:
Record Maintenance:
Effective bookkeeping including the record of daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger postings.
Maintain and update accounting records and files.
Bank Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts monthly.
Documentation:
Develop Consultancy Contracts including Payment Terms and Scope of work for Vendors, Consultants, and Service providers
Assist in preparing various finance reports as and when required, including, but not limited to, cash flow statements, MIS, etc.
Grant Management:
Oversee and manage the financial operations of the NGOs in Asia
As a finance PoC assists in developing and submitting grant proposals, budgets, etc., ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
Ensure compliance with grant requirements, including timelines, budgets, and reporting.
Update all the Grant-related financial data in Grant Management Software
Prepare regular reports (including Issue Tracker, Observations, and Recommendations) for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets related to grant-funded projects.
Serve as a point of contact for grant-related inquiries from internal departments and external partners.
Coordinate meetings and workshops related to grant management and compliance.
Monitoring:
Conduct Due Diligence for Potential new Partners
Financial monitoring of grant-funded projects of at least 7-9 partners and conduct periodic audits to ensure proper use of funds and compliance with donor regulations.
Communication:
Collaborate and liaise with other departments, auditors, vendors and tax professionals as and when required.
