Education:

• Diploma in Medical Technology
• Bachelor/Honors

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related field.

• Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality standards.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling tests and results.
• Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS) and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Working Conditions:
• Laboratory environment with exposure to biological samples, chemicals, and equipment.
• May require occasional extended hours or weekend work depending on laboratory needs.
• Reporting & Evaluation:
• Performance will be evaluated based on accuracy, efficiency, compliance with protocols, and contribution to laboratory operations.

Responsibilities & Context:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Laboratory Operations:
   • Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests and experiments according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
   • Ensure all laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and functioning properly.
   • Prepare reagents, media, and other necessary materials for testing.
2. Sample Analysis and Reporting:
   • Receive, process, and analyze patient or research samples accurately and timely.
   • Record, interpret, and report results in a clear and precise manner.
   • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of patient/research information.
3. Quality Control and Compliance:
   • Perform regular quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) checks.
   • Maintain compliance with laboratory safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and ISO/accreditation requirements.
   • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors in test results.
4. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
   • Maintain accurate laboratory logs, reports, and documentation of all tests and experiments.
   • Assist in preparation of reports for management, audits, or accreditation purposes.
5. Team Collaboration and Training:
   • Provide guidance and training to junior lab staff and interns.
   • Collaborate with other departments for efficient laboratory operations.
   • Participate in continuous professional development and scientific meetings.
