Responsibilities & Context:
Stay informed about advances in laboratory technology, methods, and best practices, participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new laboratory tests, procedures, and protocols as needed·
Ensure machineries and equipment are functioning properly·
Train junior staff regarding lab procedures and protocols.
Maintain proper records and statistical details of the tests that are run·
A thorough understanding and proficiency in conducting chemical analyses of body fluids and must be able to make reports.
Participate in training and professional development programs·
Maintain professionalism while respecting and upholding the rights and dignity of patients.
Abide by all policies within the department.·
Inform patient if there is any delay in timetable.
Supervise the timetable to align with patients` arrivals and consultants` prescribed schedules on a daily basis.
Additionally, counsel and reassure patients if the schedule cannot be maintained as promised.
