Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure compliance with Bangladeshi financial laws and regulations in all accounting and reporting activities.
∎ Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate and timely entries.
∎ Organize, maintain, and update financial records and archives for audits and internal use.
∎ Prepare and finalize annual financial reports and statements in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
∎ Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliation and analysis.
∎ The incumbent will be directly responsible to the Manager; Finance & Accounts with specific responsibility for VAT and Income Tax work particularly VAT Deduction at Source from Suppliers and other service payables as applicable, Tax deduction at Source from Staff Salary, Honorarium, and any other allowances. This will also include time to time Preparation of Tax deducted at Source (TDS) & VAT deducted at Source (VDS) Certificate (Mushak-6.6) and Provide to its stakeholders, Preparation, and Submission of Value Added Tax Return (Mushak-9.1) for VAT authority. Also required to perform any other assigned job as advised by the Departmental Head or other superior authority.
∎ Ensure proper compliance in making payment and recognition under VAT & SD Act 2012 & Rules;
∎ Ensure proper compliance in making payment and recognition under ITO 1984;
∎ Maintain the records, registers & documents regarding VAT & Tax conforming to VAT & Tax laws in a timely manner;
