Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field will be preferred.

• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, COBIT, PMP, or equivalent will be considered an added advantage.

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in IT, preferably in the banking or financial sector.

• Proven experience in core banking systems (preferably Temenos), IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.

• Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and large-scale IT project implementation.

• Strong understanding of banking regulations, risk management frameworks, and emerging financial technologies.

• Oversee data governance, data protection, and regulatory compliance.

• Review IT audit systems and coordinate with auditors on IT-related issues.

• Provide advisory on cloud adoption, system modernization, and infrastructure upgrades.

• Assess digital banking platforms and recommend service improvements.

• Improve system integration and interoperability across banking applications.

• Strengthen fraud detection and cybersecurity monitoring systems.

• Evaluate vendor performance and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Ensure compliance with guidelines of Bangladesh Bank and other regulatory authorities.

• Provide periodic reports to Management and the Board on IT risks, performance, and strategic initiatives.

A leading private commercial bank is seeking an experienced IT Consultant to support IT strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Scope of Responsibilities

• The key responsibilities of the IT Consultant will include, but not limited to, the following:

• Review the Bank’s existing IT infrastructure, systems, and applications to identify gaps, risks, and areas for improvement.

• Ensure compliance with directives of the Board regarding IT and Information Security functions.

• Recommend cost optimization strategies while enhancing operational efficiency, system security, and customer experience.

• Guide implementation of AML solutions, Risk-Based Supervision requirements, and IFRS 9-related technological compliance.

• Strengthen cybersecurity frameworks in line with regulatory and industry standards.

• Review and update IT policies, guidelines, and operational manuals to improve overall IT risk rating.
