  • 3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project’s lifetime

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 September 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is going to implement a project named ‘USAID Bangladesh America Maitree Activity(BAMA)” in Bangladesh at Khulna and Sylhet districts. The project will be implemented by the support of BRAC and Financed by ‘United State Agency for International Development (USAID)’. BTS is going to recruit a Human Resource Officer for the mentioned project the position’s desk office will be at Dhaka.

Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled HR Officer who will recruit, support and develop talent through developing policies and managing procedures. You will be responsible for administrative tasks and you’ll contribute to making the organization a better place to work.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruitment: Preparing job descriptions, posting ads, and managing the hiring process.

  • Employee relations: Managing employee needs, ensuring compliance with company and government procedures, and fostering a safe work environment.

  • HR initiatives: Supporting the development and implementation of HR systems and initiatives.

  • Policies and procedures: Providing counseling on policies and procedures. To comply employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.

  • HR data analysis: Analyzing HR data to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making.

  • Employee engagement: Leading initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.

  • Onboarding: Facilitating remote onboarding processes using digital platforms and virtual tools.

  • Employee records: Ensuring that all employee and HR records are accurate and up date.

  • Training materials: Creating employee training materials under the guidance of the learning and development manager

  • Others: Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.



Job Other Benifits:
    • 2 days weekend

    • Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per `Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy` of Breaking the Silence and the facilities will be applicable also based on available resources in the project budget.
