Responsibilities & Context:

1. Sample Collection:

   • Collect biological samples (blood, urine, swabs, etc.) from infants, children, and elderly individuals in their homes.

   • Tailor collection methods according to the patient’s age:

     • Infants (1 day old): Perform gentle and safe sample collection.

     • Children: Minimize anxiety and ensure a comfortable experience during the collection.

     • Elderly Individuals: Modify the process as necessary for patients with mobility or health conditions.

2. Communication:

   • Explain the sample collection procedure clearly to parents/guardians for infants and children.

   • For elderly individuals, communicate with respect, ensuring they understand the process and are comfortable with the procedure.

   • Answer questions from patients and families and address concerns in a calm and professional manner.

3. Documentation:

   • Accurately complete patient details, sample types, and collection times on required forms.

   • Ensure all data is handled confidentially and securely.

4. Sample Handling and Transport:

   • Properly label and store samples to maintain their integrity during transport.

   • Ensure the safe delivery of collected samples to the laboratory.

5. Hygiene and Safety:

   • Follow strict hygiene protocols during sample collection and handling.

   • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and sterilize equipment before and after each use.

6. Professionalism and Compassion:

   • Provide courteous, professional service to patients and their families.

   • Show sensitivity to the needs of infants, children, and elderly individuals, ensuring comfort and privacy.

7. Transportation:

   • Must own a bike and have a valid driving license to travel to patient homes across the designated area.

   • Ensure timely arrival for appointments and manage transportation efficiently.
