Experience:
Diploma in Medical Technology (X-ray) from a recognized Institute
• Duration: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred Business Areas: NGO, Hospital, or Diagnostic Centre.
Additional Requirements
• Quality Assurances:
o Maintain and monitor infection prevention procedures as per protocol.
o Ensure the safety of the patient during X-ray exposure.
o Maintain a daily departmental quality checklist and preserve it.
• Client Care Issues:
o Show empathy to the patient while performing any procedure.
o Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality during the procedure.
• Skills and Competencies:
o Excellent communication skills and a desire to learn.
o High commitment and motivation to work in remote places, especially in riverine areas.
o Strong interpersonal skills.
o Good teamwork exposure.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a prerequisite.
Core Responsibilities
• Perform X-rays and deliver them to the right patient.
• Maintain a register of patients.
• Ensure sterility and cleanliness.
• Ensure the functionality of the equipment.
• Ensure the safety of the patient and your own self.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Activities
• Overall Management:
o Meet and greet every patient.
o Maintain the daily patient register for the X-Ray Unit.
o Ensure all X-ray service entries are available in the software.
o Prepare reports as per doctors’ instructions and deliver them to the report delivery section or doctors on duty.
o Verify the correct patient, the correct body side, and the correct procedure before performing it.
o Prepare the patient for the X-ray with proper counseling, positioning, and privacy.
• Technical Responsibilities:
o Prepare monthly/quarterly requisitions of reagents, stationery, surgical, and consumable items for the X-Ray Unit.
o Inform the Hospital Manager/line manager about any problem regarding the equipment and maintain a Down-Time register.
o Prepare a monthly report and send it to the person in charge of reporting.
o Prepare and maintain the roster duty schedule.
o Complete any other work assigned by higher authority.
