Experience:
Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in E&S management, sustainability, ESG, or corporate social responsibility (CSR).
At least 5-7 years in senior leadership roles within large organizations, preferably diversified conglomerates or major industrial entities.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing E&S management systems, conducting ESIAs, and managing complex stakeholder engagements.
Proven track record of developing and implementing sustainability strategies that delivered measurable improvements (e.g., carbon reduction, waste minimization, social impact).
Experience working in the Bangladeshi context with deep understanding of local regulatory frameworks is essential.
Familiarity with international E&S standards (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, World Bank EHS Guidelines, ILO conventions) and global reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP).
Develop and articulate a comprehensive Group-wide E&S and Sustainability strategy aligned with corporate vision and international best practices.
Lead the integration of sustainability considerations into business planning and risk management.
Design and implement sustainability roadmaps covering climate action, resource efficiency, waste management, and social impact.
Advise senior management and the Board on ESG compliance, risks, opportunities, and performance.
Lead and coordinate the Sustainability Committee activities across departments.
Formulate and update Environmental and Social (E&S) policies, guidelines, and standards.
Ensure compliance with Bangladeshi laws, regulations, and international standards.
Develop procedures covering environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and governance excellence.
Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental and social risks across projects and operations.
Design and oversee the implementation of Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS).
Ensure Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) are conducted for new projects and expansions.
Monitor compliance with mitigation measures and sustainability requirements.
Establish ESG performance indicators and sustainability KPIs.
Prepare ESG and sustainability reports for management and stakeholders.
Ensure timely and accurate disclosure of ESG performance and sustainability initiatives.
Engage with regulators, investors, NGOs, communities, and development partners.
Represent the organization in sustainability forums, meetings, and external engagements.
Promote transparent communication on ESG initiatives and achievements.
Develop and conduct sustainability awareness and training programs.
Build ESG knowledge and capabilities across the organization.
Promote a culture of sustainability and responsible business practices.
Collaborate with HR, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Supply Chain teams.
Integrate ESG principles into operational and strategic decision-making.
Support departments in implementing sustainable business practices.
Lead and mentor the sustainability and E&S team.
Manage sustainability projects, budgets, and implementation timelines.
Drive continuous improvement in ESG and sustainability performance across the Group.
