Job Context:
∎ We are seeking for a PIZZA CHEF to join our team who can deliver our current dishes and also be creative with new creations and update on traditional items.
∎ The chef will have a large amount of responsibility in the kitchen. Essentially, he is responsible for planning and directing food preparation, maintain a high standard of food quality.
∎ The chef will involve a large degree of supervising of other kitchen staff. Also keeping an eye out for problems that arise in the kitchen and seizing control of a situation at a moment`s.
∎ You will work in an expo kitchen where guests have the opportunity to view your creativity and master skills
∎ Commitment to our customers, reliable to his or her co-workers, self-motivated, creative and organized is a must.
∎ Ability to work the line in a high volume fast paced environment along with good time management skills, and professional dress, and behavior are all required for this position.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The chef must be Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions:
∎ Food planning and preparation
∎ Purchasing
∎ Sanitation
∎ Safety
∎ Company policies and procedures
∎ Personnel management
∎ Recordkeeping and reports making
∎ The ideal candidate for this position needs to have prior experience in:
∎ Dough stretching
∎ Making of food items such as: Burger Bun, Sub-sandwich Rolls etc.
∎ Preparing burger patties, making mayonnaise etc. from scratch
∎ Additional culinary training is a plus point especially in Chinese / Indian Cuisine.
∎ Ensure appealing plate presentation
∎ The chef may also assist with preparation of all items needed for service from chopping vegetables to making sauces as well as preparing meat products
∎ Come up with new dishes which appeal to the clients, whenever required
∎ Produce high quality dishes that follow up the established menu and level up to location's standards, as well as to clients' requirements
∎ Monitor food stock, place orders, check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
∎ Follow compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
∎ Operate within controlled budgets, cost, dishes etc. and analyze future purchasing to prevent over/ under buying
∎ Control stock requirements & purchasing / replenishment, operate stock takes, and prevent excessive wastage / spoilage
∎ Excellent Customer Service Skills and ability to understand and respond to individual guest's needs and requirements
∎ The Chef does need to understand current standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures and ensures that safe and high quality food service is provided at all times.
∎ Chefs may also be asked to prepare Chinese / Indian food items for special lunch or dinner events.
