Job Context:
∎ Duty Station: Dhaka, Bangladesh
∎ Duration: 40 days up to 31 December 2020

Job Responsibilities:

∎ Explore and present conceptual ideas for a cohesive, coherent and creative branding of the relevant products incorporating the visual identity elements of the Food Planning and Monitoring Unit (FPMU) of the Ministry of Food and the specific themes;
∎ Design layouts of reports, policy briefs, infographics, banners of meetings and events and ensuring that the layouts fits the audience (from a technical, professional and cultural standpoint);
∎ Identify and develop overall layout that suits the product type;
∎ Produce output files in specified formats by the printers, who will be assigned to print the products;
∎ Deliver high- and low-resolution files (for print and web) as well as complete design packages (source files) to FAO;
∎ Manage a database of the products - all designs and output files - for the relevant work of the project and transfer it to MUCH at end of assignment;
∎ Perform other related duties as assigned

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years of relevant experience in graphic production from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes (offset and digital) and colour management including the use of design software such as Adobe Design Premium, In-Design, CorelDraw, Final Cut HD.
∎ Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of graphic design processes and procedures for the creation and maintenance of high-quality graphic material for varied media projects; proven creativity and ability to oversee and develop design that will advance the image and priorities of the UN;
∎ English and Bangla are the working knowledge of the project. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required.
