Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ S/he will directly work with MOH&FW, specifically Directorate General of Health Services, and other related directorates to support them to:
∎ o Form a technical working group to ensure smooth coordination between partners and stakeholders
∎ o Finalize protocol for implementation and selection of health facilities
∎ o Ensure procurement of medicines and testing kits through MOH&FW partners (The Global Fund and others)
∎ o Organize monthly program review involving relevant stakeholders
∎ o Coordinate with Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) and Central Medical Store Department (CMSD) to provide medicines and testing kits to the health facilities
∎ o Advocate for additional fund allocation to meet operating expenditure requirements and administrative needs
∎ o Prepare a scale up plan to be integrated in the new sector plan and operational plans
∎ Develop strong relationships with key external and internal stakeholders including government officials, affiliated institutes, and partners working in the oxygen ecosystem landscape in Bangladesh and beyond
∎ Take on other work responsibilities from time to time as required for program implementation
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 8-10 years professional experience in public sector, preferably Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
∎ Familiarity with Health sector wide approach (SWAP) and operational plans preferred.
∎ Knowledge of public medicine supply chain, distribution practices in Bangladesh would be preferable
∎ Extensive knowledge of Bangladesh public sector administration, financing and human resource planning preferred
∎ Good oral and written communication skills in both in English and Bengali.
∎ Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary and multicultural group of colleagues and external stakeholders
∎ Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision
∎ Creative, flexible, and resourceful and able to cope with logistical challenges
∎ Ability to travel within Bangladesh at a short notice.
