Job Context:
∎ Based at Ukhiya Office, Cox`s Bazar
∎ The Gender Specialist will report to Consortium Manager while maintaining a matrix line reporting to ECW Gender Manager. The Gender Specialist-ECW will report monthly to the Consortium Manager and attend different meetings of the Consortium. The Gender Specialist will document and share learnings and good practice on gender equality throughout the ECW consortium to promote gender issues/provide gender analysis within Education sectors interventions. These will include facilitating monthly meetings, producing success stories, sharing guidelines and resources, joint field visits etc. Gender Specialist will be responsible for donor reporting on Gender issues by coordinating with gender technical focal points from all member agencies. She/he will collect data from program MEAL system ensuring to track progress against outputs and all indicators, report progress to the ECW Consortium and highlight areas that require attention or action to support accountability of Consortium partners.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in the areas of Gender mainstreaming and women and girls' empowerment, ideally within the education context. Experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of gender mainstreaming projects in the humanitarian and development contexts. Good understanding of the gender in emergency and linking EiE, SGBV, Child protection and SRHR issues. Experience of working with Gender in Education, Gender in emergency, Gender Equality, Women, Girls child and adolescents Rights.
Salary:
∎ Salary Package for this role is BDT. 129,040 To BDT. 161,300 monthly Cost to the company. Along with other benefits i.e., hospitalization benefit for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, Festival Bonus, leave, group insurance and yearly medical check-up for employee.
