Educational Requirements:
∎ The candidate must have at least a four-year undergraduate degree in Forestry/ Natural resource management or any relevant subject from a recognized university.
∎ - Master's degree in Forestry/ Natural resource management is preferable.

Since its formation, CNRS has been active in this field and has drawn the attention of relevant local, national and international actors including government and funding agencies through demonstrating innovations in its approaches and producing tangible learning outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Have good understanding of the reforestation/ afforestation/ natural based solution/ ecosystem-based adaptation activities, and factors that determine the success of project.
∎ Knowledge on species selection criteria, site preparation and care and maintenance for restoring degraded natural forest and conservation of forestry resources in the degraded natural forest.
∎ Data-base management of project activities, plantation in relation site and species, etc.
∎ Prepare the monthly plan followed by project implementation plan.
∎ Preparation of event budget and other required documents in line with the project budget.
∎ Visit the field regularly in remote areas to ensure the quality implementation of project interventions like raising trees and grass plantations.
∎ Development of tools for quantitative and qualitative data collection and regularly collect the required data.
∎ Proficient user of MS office word, excel, and PowerPoint and have knowledge of statistical analysis using MS office excel/ SPSS/ R.
∎ Documentation of the progress of project activities, outputs, and immediate impact of the project activities.
∎ Track the progress of project activities and preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual report.
∎ Preparation of good practice dissemination notes based on the experience gained from the plantation sites.
∎ Any other activities as assigned

∎ The forestry officer will be the lead for the reforestation activities under the supervision of the project manager and supervise all the reforestation activities under the project. He/ She will be also responsible for the proper documentation.
∎ Key deliverables:
∎ Monthly/ weekly work plan
∎ Monthly/ weekly reforestation updates/ report
∎ Need assessment report
∎ Database of reforestation activities
∎ Survival and growth rate assessment report
∎ Care and maintenance report
∎ Documentation of good practices, etc
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years experience in implementation of reforestation/ afforestation/ natural based solution/ ecosystem-based adaptation project is required.
∎ Additional Job Requirements
∎ Efficient computer literacy (especially MS Office applications)
∎ Strong ability to work with the team
∎ Strong ability in problem-solving and decision-making.
∎ Skill in documentation, facilitation & reporting.
∎ Excellent communications skills in both English and Bangla
∎ Ability to work under pressure and under a multi-sectoral / multi-disciplined team approach
∎ Having non-discriminatory and gender-sensitive perception
∎ To protect children in connection
∎ Willingness and ability to drive a motorcycle in the field as and when required and should have a valid driving license
Salary:
∎ Salary: BDT 50,000/month (inclusive all)
