Job Context:
∎ Background: The main objective for this position is to increase poor household production, consumption and income, focusing on improved nutrition sensitive fisheries-aquaculture-horticulture production System and other fisheries and aquaculture opportunity as income generating activities.
∎ This position will be based at WorldFish`s Office in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Interviews are expected to be held in April 2020 and only shortlisted candidates will be notified and expected to attend the interview. The successful candidate should be available to commence as soon as possible for an initial one (1) year fixed term contract, with the possibility of contract renewal depending on performance and funding availability.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ You will conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) on Aquaculture and Fisheries for the Implementing partner's field staffs.
∎ Deliver/disseminate improved nutrition sensitive technologies and varieties to project beneficiaries through GoB line departments, Implementing partners NGOs and private sectors in respective Upazilas of Suchana project.
∎ Work closely with other coalition partners and public-private stakeholders in order to select project beneficiaries and encourage them to participate and utilize aquaculture, fisheries and horticulture potentials for increased consumption and income.
∎ Active participate in situation appraisal including resource mapping and conduct adaptive research for appropriate aquaculture and fisheries management by the very poor households for nutrition and income.
∎ Develop and dissemination of improved aquaculture and horticulture technologies and varieties, mange fisheries resources, quality inputs allocated to the selected beneficiaries through GO-NGO-Private sectors including union Parishad partnership in respective villages of selected unions of the Upazilas of WorldFish responsibilities.
∎ Plan and implement aquaculture, fisheries and horticulture activities including training, coaching, refreshers training, establish demonstrations, input distribution, and linkage events for the beneficiaries. Prepare monthly and annual work plans and budgets of the Upazilas.
∎ Support WorldFish Training specialist, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, Finance & Admin Officers, HR and other staffs for developing and delivering the responsibilities.
∎ Assist District Fisheries Specialist developing and implementing activities plan, prepare reports in line with project and donor requirements and WorldFish regulations and maintain budgetary control of expenditure, and prepare basic financial reports for the respective district.
∎ Support Suchana team to perform overall program including Gender, Nutrition, Environment and Monitoring & Evaluation and administrative functions of the project.
∎ Represent WorldFish in Upazila level management/implementation committee and as required. Ensure timely and through communication with coalition partners, government agencies, NGOs, farmers association, private sectors and clients as and when required to achieve targets on time.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 8 years working experiences in INGO/Private companies preferably in overall operational functions.
∎ Experience in DFID/EU funded projects' policies and procedures.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills in order to be a valuable team player.
∎ Demonstrated skills in managing partner, staff groups and projects or initiatives.
∎ Proficient in microsoft office specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point.
∎ A demonstrated record of inter-disciplinary, admin, financial, procurement functions and the desire to work in a consortium environment.
∎ Committed and motivated and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 705366 - 817713 (Yearly)
∎ This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position with annual salary ranging between BDT 705,366 - BDT 817,713 per annum. WorldFish NRS shall receive comprehensive benefits including (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, and pension / provident fund contribution.
