  • Age At least 20 years
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in NGO or development projects.

  • Strong knowledge of donor compliance (UNFPA, ECHO or similar).

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

  • Excellent skills in financial reporting, budgeting and auditing.

  • Strong communication skills in Bangla and English.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines



Responsibilities & Context:

About the Project

Unnayan Sangha (US), in partnership with UNFPA and the Global Women’s Institute (GWI) of George Washington University, is implementing an ECHO-funded pilot project to prevent Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (SEAH) in humanitarian settings. The initiative emphasizes proactive prevention, risk mitigation, and women-led safe programming to foster safer environments for aid workers and affected populations.

Project Title: Stopping Harm Before It Happens: A Knowledge Platform for SEAH Prevention Practices

Location: Based in Jamalpur and other project location (selected districts)

Employment Type

  • Full-time, project-based position

  • Contract duration: Initially 6 Month, renewable based on performance and project continuation.

Key Responsibilities

The Finance Officer will be responsible for:

  • Managing financial operations of the project in compliance with donor and organizational policies.

  • Preparing budgets, financial forecasts and expenditure reports.

  • Ensuring accurate bookkeeping, accounting and financial documentation.

  • Monitoring project expenditures and maintaining financial controls.

  • Preparing donor financial reports in line with UNFPA and ECHO requirements.

  • Supporting internal and external audits.

  • Coordinating with project staff to ensure timely financial planning and disbursement.

  • Maintaining transparency and accountability in all financial transactions.
