Education:
    • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
    • Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting
  • Bachelor of Finance/ Accounting/ Business Administration

  • Master of Commerce (M. Com), B. Com/ MBA finance

  • M.Com. in Accounting with Honors; ACCA (Course completed) would be preferred

  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Accounts, Audit, Commercial/ Export-Import, Finance, Internal Audit

  • Experience in managing financial control of international/clinical research projects will be preferred

  • Having a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA- Finance) or an Advanced certificate course in Finance

  • Having skills and competencies to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, and web browsing

  • Fluency in both spoken and written aspects of the Bengali and English languages

  • Good organizational and documentation skills

Desirable

  • Knowledge of financial audit & other financial processes

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision

  • A helpful and flexible attitude and ability to relate to colleagues of all levels.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare budgets for the events to be organized by the project;
  • Budget tracking, expenditure monitoring, expenditure forecasting, and timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure proper utilization of allocated funds.
  • Ensure that the project's finance system follows internationally agreed accounting standards.
  • Ensure donor and Govt (Tax & VAT) compliance is met in financial records and reporting
  • Maintain & prepare all kinds of financial statements
  • Review the cash flow requirement to ensure sufficient fundsare available to meet operations
  • Prepare & perform variance analyses and develop strategies to maximize budget efficiency
  • Maintain & prepare all kinds of vouchers, cash book, bill register, general ledger & different registers related to finance & accounts
  • Preparing, Maintaining & Entering bank-related transactions.
  • Preparing Reconciliation Statement related to finance & accounts.
  • Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
  • Check and review all vouchers (Receivables, payables, and payments)

Additional (as required)

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly management accounts reports.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information, statements and reports.
  • Follow up existing bank interest/profit service charges, etc as per the sanction letter.
  • Monitor the monthly cash budget and actual expenditure.
  • Ensure debit/ credit/ journal vouchers etc., are prepared properly, and ensure adjustment of advances etc.
  • Ensure proper implementation & functioning of financial policies & procedures
  • Ensure release of staff’s salaries and other overheads payments on a regular basis with proper compliance
  • Perform any other related work assigned by the authority
